Everywhere you looked during the 2012 Mid-Pacific Regional Conference last weekend, Cal shone.
Cal shone when Bridge placed first and Canoe and Environmental placed second.
Cal shone as the 2012 Mid-Pac Conference hosts when organizers made continuous adjustments to event logistics when a downpour on the second day necessitated changes to their year of careful planning.
"They were always one step ahead; participants didn't even realize that changes were being made," said Berkeley MId-Pac faculty advisor, Jim Hunt.
Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe both advance to their national competitions. Steel Bridge Nationals will be held at Clemson University, South Carolina, on May 25-27. Concrete Canoe Nationals will be held at the Universiity of Nevada, Reno, on June 14-16.
