It's Prom Time Again in CEE!

The annual CEE Spring Social (also known as "Prom") will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 in the Hearst Memorial Mining Building from 8:00 p.m. until midnight.

This year's theme is "Black and White Ball." Attendees will be dressed in their finest black and white attire: whether this be a tuxedo or a cow costume! A DJ will play a variety of favorite dance music, ranging from classics to recent hits, and a wide selection of food and beverages will be served.

Nearly 200 CEE graduate students, faculty, and staff attend, making the spring social the fun, end-of-the-year celebration for the entire CEE department.

The event is planned by the CEE Graduate Student Society and is sponsored by the Graduate Assembly and the CEE department. Now in it's fourth year, the spring social was born out of a desire to have everyone in the department meet in a social setting and have an opportunity to get to know one another outside of the classroom, across the academic disciplines, and away from cubicles and deadlines.

Tickets are $15 for faculty, $20 for guests, and free for staff. To purchase tickets, contact Taylor Reiss at reiss@berkeley.edu.
