Kenichi Soga, Chancellor's Professor, recently delivered the 15th Jennings Memorial Lecture hosted by the South African Institution of Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Division, at the University of Pretoria, Cape Town, South Africa.
He spoke on "Sensing the performance of geotechnical structures." See abstract (pdf)
Soga also was the honored speaker at the 17th Robert L. Schiffman '44 Geotechnical Colloquium at Cornell University, where he spoke on "Smart Geotechnical Infrastructure and Construction."
