Carl Monismith's Prolific Career in Pavement Research

Featured Faculty: Carl L. Monismith

CEE Professor of the Graduate School Carl Monismith has been studying pavement design and technology since 1951. As a co-director of the Pavement Research Center, he works on developing and evaluating materials for California's roads, work that is as critical today as it was more than a half a century ago when a team of Berkeley researchers was tasked with researching pavement materials for massive highway construction in the wake of World War II.
