Tina Chow, faculty member of the CEE Environmental Engineering program, edited a newly published book on mountain meteorology titled Mountain Weather Research and Forecasting: Recent Progress and Current Challenges. Stephan De Wekker (University of Virginia) and Brad Snyder (Environment Canada) were co-editors.
The book provides a broad understanding of the fundamental principles driving atmospheric flow over complex terrain and provides historical context for recent developments and future direction for researchers and forecasters.
