Eric Munsing & Team win Citadel's Data Open Championship

On Monday, November 27, a team of four Berkeley graduate students won the final round of the Data Open, a year-long series of data analysis competition generously sponsored by Citadel in partnership with Correlation One.
 
Over 10,000 students applied to participate in the 2017 Datathon series, with finalists chosen from top data science programs in 4 countries.
 
Congratulations to the first place team, consisting of Sören Künzel (Statistics PhD candidate), Jake Soloff (Statistics PhD student), Allen Tang (EECS MS student), and Eric Munsing (CEE PhD candidate). They will share a $100K prize. Eric Munsing is advised by CEE Professor Scott Moura.
