Thank You for Celebrating With Us!
Nearly 700 students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the CEE community came together to celebrate the beginning of a new academic year and welcome the newest members of Berkeley Civil & Environmental Engineering. The evening featured performances and appearances from the Ashraf Band, Cal Band, Cal Dance Team, and Oski, adding to the energy and excitement of the celebration.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Ashraf Habibullah (M.S. ’70), Founder, President and CEO of Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI), whose extraordinary generosity and longstanding dedication to Berkeley CEE make this special tradition possible. For more than five decades, CSI has helped shape the future of structural and earthquake engineering through industry-leading software including ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and CSiBridge. Ashraf has carried that same commitment to innovation into his support of Berkeley students, continually investing in the next generation of engineers and encouraging them to pair technical excellence with leadership, confidence, and human connection.
The gala gave hundreds of attendees the opportunity to connect with fellow students, faculty, staff, and members of the broader CEE community, all while celebrating the start of another year at Berkeley. Guests even went home with some CSI gear!
We are incredibly grateful to Ashraf and CSI for continuing to champion our students and for helping create experiences that make the CEE community stronger, more connected, and more inspired. 💙
