William Tarpeh (CE 'PhD '17) was named among Forbes 30 under 30 for 2018. See Tarpeh profile.
As a doctoral student, Tarpeh developed a method to extract nitrogen from urine, turn it into a gas, and combine it with water to make fertilizer.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at Stanford University.
His faculty adviser was Professor Kara Nelson.
