With the generous support of the Beavers Charitable Trust, a non-profit organization that assists students entering the heavy construction industry, we are very pleased to introduce our inaugural Beavers Teaching Fellows, Mr. Jeffrey Lessman and Dr. Manar (Mark) Shami!
This fall, Shami will teach CE 166: Construction Engineering. In spring 2022, Lessman will teach CE 190: Special Topics in Heavy Civil Construction. Both bring vast knowledge and skill sets to the department, and we very much look forward to them joining CEE. We are grateful to The Beavers for making these fellowships possible.
Mr. Jeff Lessman has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He was a major Shimmick Construction shareholder and a Director on Shimmick’s BOD from 1997 to 2017. During that time Shimmick grew from annual revenues of $20M/year to $500M/year. He is skilled in all aspects of project execution for public and private clients using all types of contracts. Jeff also has experience in mergers and acquisitions in construction.
