Location information will be updated soon. Visit Day takes place on our UC Berkeley campus. The address is 2594 Hearst Avenue in Berkeley, CA. Banatao Auditorium in Sutardja Dai Hall.

What should I expect for parking and transportation?

By Car: Visitor Parking on campus is extremely limited and we would advise folks take public transportation. Davis Hall is located near Hearst Ave and LeRoy Ave. A list of campus parking lots for visitor parking can be found here. The street parking is usually 2 hour maximums with meters.

By Bus: The closest bus stop supports the Transbay F Line and the AC Transit 55 Line. The stop would be LeRoy.

By BART: The Downtown Berkeley BART Stop is located about a 20 minute walk away from Davis Hall. Alternatively the F Bus and 55 Bus stop at the Bart station and drop off at Hearst and LeRoy.

By Bike: There are bike racks outside Davis Hall to lock bikes.

Will there be any events over the weekend?

The University Diversity Days are March 16th 4pm -9pm and March 17th 9am - 5pm. This event is invitation only by the University Graduate Division. If you are invited, we encourage you to attend.

Will the department book my travel or accommodations?

The department does not book travel. In most cases, students are responsible for their own accommodations. A select few graduate students who are awarded Diversity Day grants will be booked at our participating hotel.

Will the department reimburse my travel to Visit Day?

PhD admits are eligible for travel reimbursements to be set by their faculty admissions officers. Generally speaking, no other students are not reimbursed for travel. If additional funding exists, your faculty admissions officer will reach out to select Master's admits.

How will reimbursement work?
