Berkeley CEE's competition teams had a strong showing in the 2025 MidPac ASCE Student Symposium, which was co-hosted this year by UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University from April 5 to April 7. MidPac is an annual student symposium where students from more than 16 universities participate in various civil engineering competitions addressing challenges in the field. These competitions showcase their skills and achievements by designing, building, and/or competing in Concrete Canoe, Student Steel Bridge, Surveying, Sustainable Solutions, GeoWall, Innovation, and other regional competitions.
We're incredibly proud of our students for their presentations on building a structurally durable and sustainable building and creating a water filtration system to address wastewater issues. See below for the Berkeley CEE competition team results!
Concrete Canoe: 1st place
Sustainable Solutions: 1st place
Transportation: 1st place
