On April 12th, from 12 pm to 5 pm, 25 Berkeley CEE students gathered to distribute 120 DIY air purifiers to families in Stockton. This effort was part of the Earth Day celebration organized by the Stockton Unified School District, which featured various community booths, showcased electric school buses, and offered education on clean air initiatives.

GSI Courtney Turkatte and CEE Professor Tina Chow coordinated UC Berkeley's participation in this event. The majority of the participating students were from CE 105, a senior capstone design course where students work with community groups in Stockton and the San Joaquin Valley to tackle air pollution and climate change challenges.
