Cal Construction Team Headed to ASC Competition

Featured Faculty: Iris D. Tommelein

Next week the Cal Construction Competition Team will make its annual journey to Sparks, Nevada, to compete in the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) 2020 Student Competition. This year's event features 53 universities and over 200 teams.

While the competition will be fierce, the Bears are a team to beat. Last year, the Preconstruction, Sustainability, and Design-Build teams placed in the top three in their divisions.

The team is advised by Professor Iris Tommelein, and is comprised primarily of Berkeley CEE, ME, and Architecture students. The team meets weekly to prepare in its respective divisions: Design-Build, Commercial, Preconstruction, Integrated Project Delivery, Virtual Design and Construction, and Sustainability.

We know that Cal Construction will do us proud.  Go Bears!
