This semester, students in CE 167: Engineering Project Management completed seven site visits hosted by the companies Webcor, Suffolk, and West Builders. All visits took place in Berkeley and Oakland and happened while construction projects were in progress. These visits proved to be valuable learning experiences for students, who had a great time exploring the sites and getting a good feel for the construction industry.

CE167 is an undergraduate course taught by Lecturer Dr. Mark Shami, which covers principles of economics, decision-making, and the law applied to company and project management. In addition, the course covers business ownership, liability and insurance, cash flow analysis, financial management, design-construction interface, contracts, and much more. Check out our Engineering and Project Management graduate program to learn more about the program and prerequisites!
