CEE Professor Sanjay Govindjee was named a Fellow of the US Association for Computational Mechanics "for seminal contributions to the modeling and computation of finitely deformable polymeric materials" at the 13th US National Congress on Computational Mechanics.
Govindjee is the CEE Vice Chair for Academic Affairs. He teaches in the Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials (SEMM) program.
The Fellows Award recognizes individuals with a distinguished record of research, accomplishment and publication in areas of computational mechanics and demonstrated support of the USACM through membership and participation in the Association, its meetings and activities.
