Alex Bayen Receives ASCE Huber Prize

Congratulations to CEE Systems Engineering Professor Alexandre Bayen for being selected as a recipient of the Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize.

Bayen was selected "for pioneering design and deployment of mobile sensing and measurement to the design and management of civil engineering systems, and path breaking research on algorithm design and implementation in the control and optimization of transportation networks." The selection committee  particularly noted Bayen's contribution to the Mobile Millennium project, begun in 2008.

The Huber Prize is awarded to ASCE members who demonstrate notable achievements in research related to Civil Engineering. It is generally given to members under 40 years of age who can be expected to continue long and fruitful careers in research.
