Description

The Department of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics at McGill University invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Infrastructure/Structural Engineering, preferably at the Assistant Professor level. Rank will be determined by the qualifications of the successful applicant and salary will be commensurate with rank and experience. McGill University is among the top research-intensive academic institutions in Canada, attracting over one-half billion dollars in competitive research funding each year. It has been consistently ranked in the top 50 universities worldwide in a number of recent surveys. Successful candidates will play leading roles in maintaining McGill’s international reputation of excellence in research, teaching and service.

Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to: structural analysis; concrete structures; steel structures; bridge engineering; structural evaluation and rehabilitation; and seismic analysis and design. Integration of information technologies in experimental research, advanced numerical modelling and/or structural health monitoring is an asset.
