Description

Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) invites applications at the Assistant Professor level for a faculty member with relevant expertise for contributing to innovation in advanced infrastructure systems (www.cmu.edu/cee/research/ais-research.html), with application in civil and environmental engineering.  We will also consider highly-qualified applicants at the untenured Associate Professor level. 

CEE at Carnegie Mellon has a distinctive interdisciplinary education and research program.  We have unique education and research activities in development and application of technology for sensing, control, information modeling and visualization for infrastructure; water and air quality engineering and science; engineering for sustainability; environmental nanotechnology; environmental biotechnology; theoretical and computational mechanics related to materials modeling; and energy systems analysis.  Carnegie Mellon has a long-standing tradition of interdisciplinary education and research and offers faculty members unparalleled opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from across the university and within the region.
