Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the Colorado School of Mines (Mines) invites applications for an open rank tenured or tenure-track faculty position in the area of sustainable urban infrastructure. Applicants must hold a PhD in Civil Engineering or a related field. We seek candidates in the areas of structural, architectural, and construction engineering as well as sustainable urban infrastructure development. Successful candidates will be expected to share in our mission to address the challenges of creating a sustainable global society by educating the next generation of engineers and leaders, and by expanding the frontiers of knowledge through research. We highly value applicants with the ability to collaborate across disciplinary boundaries and secure research funding from a diverse array of sources, including but not limited to industry and federal agencies. Successful candidates are also expected to contribute to the development and expansion of the department’s Civil Engineering curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Professional Engineering registration is preferred but not required. We are especially interested in candidates with a passion to advance the University’s and Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks candidates who will contribute to growing department’s research capacity in structural and architectural engineering and sustainable urban infrastructure.
