Become a Climate Adaptation Advisor working with SCE’s Climate Adaptation & Resiliency Planning organization and help SCE manage its climate risks. You will identify risks and opportunities associated with climate change across the enterprise and incorporate adaptation measures into strategic initiatives and key planning processes. Join us and lead the cross-functional integration of climate adaptation-related analysis, initiatives, regulatory filings and advocacy, working closely with Transmission and Distribution (T&D), Generation, Energy Procurement and Management (EPM), Business Resiliency (BR), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Regulatory Affairs (RA), Customer Service (CP&S), Corporate Real Estate (CRE), and Information Technology (IT).

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Define the scope of the analytical work across OUs needed to perform rigorous vulnerability assessments, and
  • Integrate SCE’s climate adaptation analytical frameworks and results into OUs across SCE’s enterprise,
  • Ensure that all aspects of the climate adaptation vulnerability assessment, as well as engagement with disadvantaged and vulnerable communities, are on track to meet regulatory and internal risk management needs,
  • Lead the cross-functional climate risk analysis, project manage climate change-related initiatives, regulatory filings, and advocacy,  
  • Integrate SCE’s climate adaptation methodologies into OUs across SCE’s enterprise and define the scope of work across OUs needed for effective vulnerability assessment filings,
  • Define and support actions SCE needs to take to achieve its overarching goals in climate adaptation.  Provide input to and recommendations on other strategic initiatives and policies when climate change interdependencies and/or climate change impacts are identified,
  • Represent SCE climate adaptation interests in third party engagements, industry conferences, regulatory agency workshops/hearings and industry coalition meetings.
