Emily M. Guglielmo received her B.S. (2003) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles and her M.S. (2004) in Structural Engineering Mechanics and Materials from the University of California, Berkeley.  Guglielmo is Principal and Vice-President of Martin/Martin, Inc. and is the practice leader of the Northern California office. 

Ms. Guglielmo is a once-in-a-lifetime leader in the structural engineering profession.  Her meteoric rise to the Presidency of the National Council of Structural Engineers and the Structural Engineers Association of California have been fueled by her commitment to technical excellence and her passion to create a more effective, diverse and inclusive profession.  Guglielmo works tirelessly on behalf of the structural engineering profession, and her efforts have been transformational.  She leads with passion and heart, and in so doing, has brought the organizations under her leadership to be more responsive to their constituents and more relevant to the nation.

Ms. Guglielmo's professional leadership roles include President of the National Council of Structural Engineering Association (NCSEA), President of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California, and the President-elect of the Structural Engineers Association of California.

Ms. Guglielmo is a steadfast ambassador for Berkeley CEE with her extensive reach as a regional, state and nationwide leader, and represents the Cal engineering graduate with exemplary poise and professionalism.  She serves as a mentor to young professionals and as a bridge between the generations of Cal graduates, actively delivering the profession into a new era of diversity, inclusion, and technical advancements.
