Slav W. Hermanowicz

Slav W. Hermanowicz is a Professor of the Graduate School at UC Berkeley. Hermanowicz’s research focuses on membrane reactors, biofilm structure and modeling, biological processes in water and wastewater treatment, and analysis of full-scale treatment processes. He is also working on metrics of sustainable development with particular applications for engineering decision-making and water reuse. Hermanowicz has been involved in many international projects, including serving as a program honorary visiting professor at Tongji University in Shanghai in 2013 and a Visiting Fellow for the Institute of Advanced Study for the Technical University of Munich in 2013, among other notable accomplishments.
