We are pleased to welcome Dr. Maria Laura Delle Monache, joining the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2021. Dr. Delle Monache's research lies at the intersection of engineering and mathematics. It is aimed at designing more sustainable communities using new models and control strategies that leverage the latest technologies to improve the energy footprint and resilience of transportation systems.
 
Dr. Delle Monache is currently a research scientist in the team NeCS (Networked Controlled Systems) at Inria and in the GIPSA-Lab (Department of Control) in Grenoble. She has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis (France), and a Joint Masters Degree in Mathematical modeling in engineering from the University of Hamburg (Germany), and the University of L'Aquila (Italy).
