The Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District is hiring engineers at several levels: Assistant Engineer, Associate Engineer, and Senior Engineer. Engineers will be responsible for professional engineering work in the design, evaluation and construction of wastewater treatment plant, wastewater collection system, storm water system, and related facilities.
This position will serve as a project manager on projects and work closely with inspectors, contractors, and other departments throughout the District. Additionally, it will review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations for sewers and other facilities to ensure compliance with current industry practices, codes, regulations, and ordinances.

Pister, an engineering professor emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley, and a former UC Santa Cruz chancellor who devoted more than 70 years to the university, to higher education and to expanding educational opportunities for students from kindergarten to graduate school, died on Saturday, May 14, at his home in Walnut Creek. He was 96.
