Ziqi Wang, Structural Engineer, Joins CEE Faculty
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Ziqi Wang joined our faculty as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2021. Dr. Wang's research focuses on structural reliability, random vibration and uncertainty quantification for civil and earthquake engineering. It is aimed at quantifying and understanding the influence of ubiquitous uncertainties present within civil and earthquake engineering practice.

Athanasopoulos-Zekkos, Zekkos and Gong Co-Author ASCE Report on 2020 Edenville and Sanford Dam Failures
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) just published a reconnaissance report on the failures of the Edenville and Sanford Dams that occurred on May 19, 2020, in Michigan. The report presents the results of an investigation immediately after the failure using a range of techniques, includes geophysics, and optical and infrared UAV-based surveys.
Transportation Sustainability Research Center and Partners Awarded DOE Grant for Large AV Fleet and Research
UC Berkeley's Transportation Sustainability Research Center (TSRC), Optimus Ride, Clemson University, and Argonne National Labs were selected for a Department of Energy (DOE) grant of up to $4.3 million to deploy one of the largest autonomous fleets in the US and conduct critical autonomous vehicle (AV) research.
