Geoenvironmental Students Connect with Industry on Final Projects
Students enrolled in CE 176: "Geoenvironmental Engineering and Environmental Geotechnics," worked this spring semester in teams to select a geoenvironmental topic that was of interest and learn more about it. Instead of submitting their report to the instructors (Prof. Dimitrios Zekkos and Prof. Kenichi Soga), students submitted their project online to solicit feedback from industry professionals.

Professor Tina Chow was selected for UC Berkeley’s Extraordinary Teaching in Extraordinary Times award, which recognizes faculty, staff and student instructors who in 2020 embraced the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and engaged in or supported excellent teaching.
Welcoming New Faculty Member Maria Laura Delle Monache
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Maria Laura Delle Monache, joining the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2021. Dr. Delle Monache's research lies at the intersection of engineering and mathematics.
