JOB SUMMARY Responsible for earthwork construction material quantity take-offs utilizing AGTEK software. Work with estimating staff in bid process. Complete other estimating department work as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•  Assist estimating department with earthwork bid/estimate setup including interpret drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate AGTEK earthwork takeoffs, reviewing plans and specifications. 
• Maintain document products to ensure effective use of the system and documents that result in member/customer satisfaction.
• Complete other estimating department work as needed.
• Supports achievement of the company’s organizational goals and objectives by being cross trained and cross training others to increase knowledge and ability to perform different

The purpose and function of the insurance processor / document administrator is to provide a
primary resource to support Ghilotti Construction’s risk management program by effectively
managing subcontractor insurance compliance and supporting subcontract administration. The
position also supports the department through assisting with the issuance and tracking of
subcontracts and material purchase orders for current jobs. The position demands an individual
with impeccable documentation control abilities. Occasional overtime required.

Students may obtain construction management and engineering experience on many different levels during summer months, away from school by working at one or several jobsites. The student will work with members of the project team in order to become familiar with construction industry planning, design, and field operations. Actual duties will depend on the project needs at the time of the internship, the student's education and previous training, the ability of the student to master the assigned tasks, and the University's internship program requirements (if applicable).

Time will be split between the office and field operations allowing interaction with clients, subcontractors, and coworkers alike. The knowledge obtained from this program can help to further education and experience and is a great tool in preparing for a career in the construction industries.

Hyphae is an Oakland based interdisciplinary firm specializing in innovative living systems and environmental design and engineering. Hyphae has a track record of broad collaboration and pushing the limits of traditional design strategies. Signature projects include living walls, greywater and rainwater reclamation systems, green roofs, and green stormwater infrastructure.

Hyphae is seeking a civil engineer at the project management level, offering significant growth potential. Responsibilities will include design and calculation, modeling, drafting, and construction administration. The right candidate will have a passion for innovative and ecologically focused strategies and for pushing the margins of what is possible.

Principle Power Inc is looking for a structural engineering intern (marine/hull structural engineering) to join its team and help design the next generation of WindFloats.

The intern will be part of PPI's team of structural engineers and will work on a specific topic. The topics available for the intern are provided in the attached material. 

The structural group splits its focus between current designs, for specific site conditions, and R&D to optimize the performance, fabrication and ultimately the cost of the WindFloats in future projects. PPI is executing many different projects around the world in different stages working toward to its first commercial project in the near future.

The candidate should have, at a minimum, the following qualifications:

- Master of science candidate or PhD candidate in a relevant field of engineering (ocean engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, civil/structural engineering, material science, etc.)

- Strong technical and data analysis skills

- Proficiency in programing languages

- Good communication and writing skills

Preferred skills include:

- Experience in using commercial FEA software such as ANSYS or equivalent

- Specific knowledge or relevant coursework experience for the topics

The candidate should be self-driven, demonstrate the ability to work independently and communicate efficiently with team members.
