William Wang, a Ph.D. student, along with undergraduate students Emily Wu, Elisa Woodham, and Annie Xu, prepared the rebar for a scale bridge pier wall test with bidirectional loading. The research is sponsored by Caltrans, and William's aim is to enhance the safety and economy of pier wall bridges by gaining a better understanding of their performance. William is co-advised by CEE Professors Tracy Becker and Jack Moehle.
