Professor Mark Hansen and recent CEE alumnus Lu Dai ('22) served as a moderator and panelist, accordingly, for the Machine Learning Workshop held by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the NEXTOR consortium. Cal Seismic Takes Fourth Place at Seismic Design Competition

This year, UC Berkeley's Cal Seismic Design team placed fourth in the annual Seismic Design Competition hosted by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) held at the National Conference on Earthquake Engineering in Salt Lake City, Utah. The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Water Rights has an opening for a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer Specialist in the Drought Planning, Hearings and Special Projects Section of the Bay Delta and Hearings Branch.

This position offers a unique and challenging opportunity to serve as a technical and multi-disciplinary team lead for the development and implementation of a wide variety of long-term drought planning and management initiatives, projects, and programs designed to improve the efficiency and efficacy of the State Water Board’s Division of Water Rights’ drought management actions; and to assist with complex and controversial water right hearings, adjudicatory proceedings, and permitting actions before the State Water Board. 

Pay range: $10,311 - $12,905 per Month
