The cover story in Chemical and Engineering News (C&EN) features the research of Professors Allen Goldstein and William Nazaroff.  

In the article, "What's in the air in our homes?," Goldstein and Nazaroff are among the atmospheric chemists who are moving indoors to analyze chemicals in the air we breathe—given that most people spend as much as 90% of their time indoors.

Indoor emissions come from many sources--stoves, cleaning products, furnishings, and even people.

Jack Moehle, the Ed and Diane Wilson Presidential Professor, is the recipient of Earthquake Engineering Research Institute's most prestigious award: the George W. Housner Medal.

Gabriel Lobo and Casey Finnerty selected to attend Tsinghua Univ. Student Forum on Climate Change

CEE graduate students Casey Finnerty and Gabriel Lobo were selected to attend Tsinghua University's  first Student Forum on Climate Change.  

Based on essays submitted by students from the 12 universities that form the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate (GAUC),Tsinghua selected (through a blind two-stage referee process) these two students.
