Sustainable Aviation Symposium, Oct. 7-8

The 2019 Sustainable Aviation Symposium brings together experts around the world to present the latest breakthroughs in electric aviation. The Symposium will be held at UC Berkeley Pauley Ballroom, Oct. 7-8.  Special student price for the 2-day event is $20*.

The event is co-sponsored by the Institute of Transportation Studies and the Sustainable Aviation Foundation.

The event will help students ask and address critical questions facing the aviation industry today.

Mark Hansen, Professor of Transportation Engineering and co-director of the National Center of Excellence in Aviation Operations Research, was quoted in The New York Times article on why airline flight schedules have grown longer despite the fact that it takes the same amount to fly from one airport to another as it did decades ago.
