Eligibility
In order to create a CEE computer lab account, you must have an active CalNet ID, and be in one of the following categories:
- graduate student in CEE
- declared undergraduate CEE major
- current student in a CEE class that requires computer access
- visiting scholar in CEE
If you are not in one of the above categories, registering for a CEE computer lab account is a violation of UC Berkeley computer policy. Violators are subject to disciplinary action.
How to Use Your Account
With a CEE computer lab account, you can log in to the computers in the Davis Hall instructional computing labs. Log in with your CalNet ID and passphrase to the 'Campus' domain. You have an H: drive which is also accessible through "My Documents". This is your home directory and can be accessed from any computer in the instructional computer labs. Store your files here. Please do not store non-academic files in your H: drive. Refer to the CEE Computing FAQ for more information.
Problems Logging In?
If you are not able to log in after creating your account, please contact computing@ce.berkeley.edu.
Create Your Account
After reading these instructions, click the button below to create your account. You will be prompted to log into CalNet to access the page, if your browser isn't already logged into CalNet. If, after logging in, you then see a message with instructions for accessing the Davis Hall computer labs, then your account has been successfully created. If you do not see this message but instead see an error, please contact computing@ce.berkeley.edu (attaching a screen shot of the error would be helpful).
